I design the packaging you pick off the shelf.
Vida Okine.Packaging and brand designer in Accra.
I design packaging, brand identities and print that help products stand out on the shelf and businesses look as trustworthy as they are. I'm looking to bring that to a design team.
Selected work
Packaging design
Orange juice bottle
The brief
A label for a fresh orange juice that feels natural and chilled on the shelf.
What I did
Designed the bottle label and illustration, and produced the product mockup.
1 of 4. Choose another piece on the shelf.
How I work
1
Start with the shelf
Before I sketch, I look at where the design will live (the shelf, the screen, the street) and who it has to win over there.
2
Design for the brand, not the trend
Every colour, typeface and layout choice ties back to what the brand stands for, so the work stays consistent across every product and post.
3
Deliver print-ready files
I prepare artwork to the printer's spec, with correct bleeds, colour modes and dielines, so what comes off the press matches the screen.
What I do
Packaging design
Labels, boxes and bottle wraps that make a product easy to spot and easy to choose, built on accurate dielines and ready for print.
Brand design
Logos, monograms, colour palettes and type systems, with guidelines so the brand looks the same everywhere.
Creative design
Campaign and social visuals that turn an offer or event into something people stop and read.
Graphic design
Flyers, menus, business cards and everyday print, laid out clearly and finished to a professional standard.
About Vida
I'm Vida Vilhelmina Naa Okailey Okine, a packaging and brand designer based in Accra. I love the moment a design leaves the screen and becomes something people hold, whether that's a bottle, a box or a business card.
I've worked on packaging, event campaigns, signage and brand identities for businesses in Ghana, and I care as much about the print-ready details as the big idea.
